Safari to Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park
Itinerary Day Description
Day 1: ARRIVAL AND TRANSER
Met on arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport and transferred to Arusha town 50km, to Planet lodge for safari briefing and have your overnight ( Meals – BB),
Day 2: WONDERS OF ELEPHANTS IN TARANIGE PARK
After breakfast the safari departs to Tarangire park 140km. First stop is Arusha Town for any last minute purchases before a drive towards the Tarangire National Park for a game drive with packed lunch at the park. Tarangire is very famous for its big number of elephants and baobab trees. It forms the centre of an annual migratory cycle that includes up to 3000 elephants, 25,000 wildebeest and 30,000 zebras. Dinner and overnight at Lake Burunge Tented lodge (Meals – B, L, D)
Day 3: ENDLES PLAINS SERENGETI
After breakfast, you will have around 4-5 hrs driving to Serengeti National Park, crossing Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind and getting into the heart of wild magical Serengeti National Park, with its endless plains. You game drives starts in the central part of the park, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. Arrive in the afternoon for game drives till sunset in the park. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Heritage Tented lodge (Meals – B, L, D).
Day 4: WILDEBEEST MIGRATION DISCOVER
Sunrise game drives experiencing predators returning from hunting and lions awaking in the dawn followed by a full day of game drives around Serengeti. Depending on the time of year, there is probability to discover “the Great Wildebeest Migration sequences” moving along with zebras, lions, cheetahs, hyenas and you can see other residents like elephants, giraffes, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, antelopes and many prey birds and other species. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Heritage Tented lodge (Meals – B, L, D).
Day 4: SERENGETI – NGORONGORO CRATER
Sunrise game drives with bush breakfast, and later you will depart to Ngorongoro Conservation area and have an option of a stopover at Olduvai Gorge, boasting with Old Stone Age history. It was here, that the anthropologists Dr. Leakey discovered the skulls of the first man in the world and ‘Handy Man’; indeed you will have deep knowledge concerning human evolution. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Rhino lodge (Meals – B, L, D).
Day 5: NGORONGORO CRATER – ARUSHA TOWN.
Early morning descend into the Crater over 600 meters into the crater for game drives. Into this caldera you will experience an alkaline lake and variety of animals, which include wildebeest, giraffe, zebra, warthog, buffalo, hippo, eland, flamingoes, pelicans and African elephants. Also you will see a dense population of predators, like cheetah, hyenas, lions, jackal and sometimes rare leopards. In the afternoon you will have a 3-4 hours driving back to Arusha town for an overnight stay a hotel or transferred to Airport.
