Itinerary Day Description
Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania at Kilimanjaro Airport
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you are collected and transferred to Planet lodge for your overnight (BB),
Day 2: Unique Tanzanian experience in Tarangire Park
This morning you are transferred to Tarangire national park 118km away; famous of Big Baobab trees than other parks. Tarangire park gets its name from the river that threads its way through the length of the reserve. The park is with dense wildlife population which is most spectacular between June and September, the dry season. Animals migrate from the dry Maasai steppe to Tarangire River looking for water. The animals to see are big herds of elephants, lions, cheetah, leopard, buffalo, and tree climbing pythons, giraffe, Impala gazelles, waterbucks, Oryx, wildebeest and home to 550 varieties of bird. All day long will be doing game drives with your packed lunch till evening when you will be transferred to Lake Burunge Tented lodge for your dinner and overnight (Meals- B, L, D).
Day 3: Sunrise game drives in Tarangire Park
Sunrise game drives in Tarangire national park till afternoon when you will drive back to Lake Burunge lodge and enjoy your sunset at a swimming pool. Enjoy your last night in the Tarangire area (Meals –B, L, D).
Day 4: Rift Valley – Lake Manyara national park
After breakfast you will be transferred to Lake Manyara national park for game drives. The park is within the Great Rift Valley and is famous for its tree-climbing lions which spend most of the day spread out along the branches of Acacia trees. Further along the forest opens up into woodlands, grassland, swamps and beyond these the soda lake itself, covering 200 sq km and sanctuary to over 400 species of bird including flamingo, pelican, storks, sacred ibis, cormorants, Egyptian geese and plenty of games like buffalo, elephant, groups of baboons, giraffe, wildebeest, reedbuck, zebra, warthog, hippo…In the evening you will be transferred to Ngorongoro conservation area where you will have your dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena lodge ( Meals- B,L,D),
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater tour
Today you have a game drive into the Ngorongoro Crater with your packed picnic lunch. The crater is at 2286m above sea level, is the largest unbroken caldera in the world. Surrounded by very steep walls rising 610m from the crater floor, this natural amphitheatre measures 19.2km in diameter and 304 sq km in area. It is home to up to 30,000 animals; herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, elephant, hippo, hyena, jackal, lion, leopard, cheetah, ostrich, serval cats, warthog, bushbuck, eland, hartebeest, reedbuck, waterbuck, Thomson and Grant’s gazelles and the rare black rhinos. Countless flamingo form a pink blanket over the soda lakes while there are more than 100 species of birds. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena lodge (Meals- B, L, D),
Day 6 to 8: Wonders of Migration Movements in Serengeti
After breakfast, you will be driving to Serengeti national park via Olduvai Gorge for the anthropological experience of the Old stone early man. On the way you will be viewing varieties of landscapes arriving in noon for game drives from central Seronera area.
Serengeti park is famous for its annual migration when more than 3 million animals moves for green pastures, wildebeest, zebras in a 2000km round pilgrimage cycling to Maasai Mara in Kenya. It is the most spectacular wildlife show on earth and once in a lifetime experience. Predator versus prey dominates the migration, lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, jackals, vultures and crocodiles wait their turn.
The best time to see migration is between June and August, when the wildebeest congregate and prepare to cross the Grumeti river. During December to May the animals are found on the short grass plains around Lake Ndutu, the Gol mountains, and Moru Kopjes in the South of the park. December is a peak month for Zebra foaling and February the main month for wildebeest calving.
Then the migrations starts a vast herds, in columns over 40km long, head north towards Kirawira and Mbalageti, in the Western corridor , before crossing the crocodile-infested Crumeti river along the Ikorongo wildlife game reserve. The groups will split to Seronera area and some Loliondo and Lobo area. All the routes eventually crossing the Mara river, where animals face another life threatening experience, into Kenya’s Maasai Mara game reserve.
Finally, in November, the herds tracing back through Serengeti arriving at the short grass plains ready to give birth again!

Day 9: Ending Serengeti’s wonder with Breath-taking fillings!
This morning you are transferred to the Kogatende Airstrip. Your transfer includes a packed picnic lunch, and then connect to Kilimanjaro International Airport, for your flight back home!
